Fence Repair in Alhambra, CA

Not every fence problem needs a full replacement. Often a few posts, a section, or a gate adjustment restores the fence for a fraction of the cost.

Common Repairs

Leaning or fallen posts. The most frequent call we get. In this area the cause is usually termite damage below grade, rot from sprinkler overspray at the post base, or an original footing that was too shallow. The panels can look perfectly sound while the post has failed underground.

Wind damage. Santa Ana events reliably take down fence sections, particularly solid privacy panels acting as a sail on an undersized post. We reset, reinforce, and replace damaged sections.

Wood rot and termite damage. Individual boards, rails, or posts can often be replaced without touching the rest of the fence.

Gate problems. Sagging, dragging, latch misalignment, and hinge failure. Gates take more abuse than any other part of a fence because they move.

Iron rust and failed coatings. Rust at welds and post bases can be cut out, repaired, and refinished before it compromises the structure.

Storm and impact damage. Vehicle impact, fallen branches, and similar.

Repair or Replace?

Repair generally makes sense when the damage is localized, the rest of the fence is structurally sound, and the posts are largely intact. Replacement usually wins when most posts are failing, when the fence is past its service life, or when repair cost approaches a meaningful share of replacement.

We'll tell you honestly which one your fence needs. If a repair will hold for years, that's what we'll quote.

One Code Note

Alhambra requires fences and walls to be maintained in a safe, neat, and orderly condition at all times. A significantly damaged or leaning fence can become a code enforcement matter, not just an aesthetic problem — worth addressing before you get a notice.
